    The Summit Foundation's Neighboring Community Scholarship 

    • MUST BE RECEIVED BY FEBRUARY 4th
    • Varying amounts awarded
    • Applicant and/or applicant's parent(s) must reside or work in Summit County
    • The following is required for consideration: completed scholarship application form, FAFSA EFC, college essay, two(2) letters of recommendation, written by teachers, employers, coaches, etc., copy of student transcript and test scores, certification of admissibility from your college, if you have received one, any additional requirements, as requested, for specific scholarships. 
    • Online application through link above! It will say "Summit High School," but all applications for neighboring schools use this same application 

    County Sheriffs of Colorado Scholarship (available in even numbered years)

    • MUST BE MAILED TO THE COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE ON OR BEFORE FEBRUARY 23rd
    • Application, personal letter, transcripts, and two letters of reference required for consideration

     South Park Seniors, Inc.

    •  MUST BE RECEIVED BY MAY 1st
    • Two $750 schoalrships available
    • Applicants must be graduating seniors from South Park High School
    • Application, 3 letters of recommendation, and official transcript required for consideration

    SPEA and PCSD Board

    • MUST BE RECEIVED BY MAY 1st
    • $500 scholarship awarded
    • Application must be received by Mrs. Panicucci on or before May1st in order to be considered

    Colorado Elks Lodge Scholarship

    • APPLICATION AND ATTACHMENTS MUST BE RECEIVED BY APRIL 1st
    • Completed application, personal letter, transcript, one letter of recommendation (specifics requirements provided), and certification of acceptance or admissibility to institution of higher education required for consideration.

    Jones Family Scholarship

    • MUST BE RECEIVED BY APRIL 27th
    • One-time offer of $1000-$3000
    • Applicant must must be pursuing a post high school education.
    • Application and essay required for consideration

    Scott Toyne Memorial Scholarship

    • MUST BE RECEIVED BY MAY 1st
    • One-time award of $1000, or two $500 awards
    • This scholarship may be used for any post-secondary educational endeavor and must be used within one year from the date awarded or it must be forfeited.
    • Application required for consideration.

    Lake George Gem and Mineral Club

    • MUST BE RECEIVED BY APRIL 1st
    • Applicant must be a senior in Teller or Park county schools with a demonstrated history or interest in the study of Earth Sciences
    • Application includes name, address, email, and short (1/2-1 page) typed explanation of the applicant’s interest in the earth sciences, what the scholarship would be used for, and overall goal in this course of study.

    Plankinton Foundation- Billy Upham Vocational Scholarship

    • MUST BE RECEIVED BY APRIL 27th
    • The fund provides a two year scholarship, limited to $1000 per year
    • Applicant must be pursuing higher education at a vocational school
    • Application, transcript, and two letters of recommendation required for consideration.
    • DO NOT MAIL. Please turn in to Mrs. Panicucci on or before the due date.

    Plankinton Foundation- The Steve Rzepka Scholarship

    • MUST BE RECEIVED BY APRIL 27th
    • The fund provides a four-year scholarship, limited to $3,000 per year
    • Student must demonstrate financial need, and have been accepted for enrollment in an accredited two or four year college.
    • Application, two letters of recommendation, transcript, Student Aid Report, and personal statement required for consideration.
    • DO NOT MAIL. Please turn in to Mrs. Panicucci on or before the due date.

    TBK Bank Scholarship 

    • MUST BE RECEIVED BY APRIL 14th
    • One, one-time $500 scholarship available
    • Application, transcript, and answers to 5 questions required for consideration

    Friends of the Alma Library

    • MUST BE RECEIVED BY MAY 1st
    • Two, one-time awards of $500
    • Application and transcript required for consideration.

    The Mosquito Range Heritage Initiative (MRHI)

    • MUST BE RECEIVED BY APRIL 30th 
    • One-time $1000 scholarship
    • Applicant must be pursuing a post high school education in a 2-year or 4-year college or university, must use the scholarship within one year from the date awarded, must possess a minimum 2.5 GPA
    • Application and essay question required for consideration.

    Alma Foundation

    • MUST BE RECEIVED BY APRIL 1st
    • Two $1000 scholarships awarded
    • Applicant must be planning on attending an accredited two year, or four year college or university, a valuable member of the community, and local volunteer

    Town of Fairplay / Burro Buster 5K Scholarship

    • MUST BE RECEIVED BY LAST THURSDAY IN MARCH!
    • One time $500 scholarship awarded
    • Applicant must be pursuing a post high school education at a 2 or 4 year college or university OR at an accredited post-secondary technical or vocational institution.
    • Minimum 2.3 GPA
    • Completed application and essay question required for consideration

     The BIGGS Fund Scholarship

    • MUST BE RECEIVED BY APRIL 15th 
    • One time $1000 award 
    • Applicant must be a graduating senior from Park County Re-2 School District
    • Application, and 1-2 letters of reccommendation required for consideration.
    • Submit to Mrs. Panicucci by end of day on April 15th 

    Independent Order of Odd Fellows RML No.2  

    • MUST BE RECEIVED BY FEBRUARY 28TH 2018
    • Applicant must be attending a Colorado institute of higher learning
    • Ray Goodwin Memorial Scholarship valued at $5,000
    • Dan Mullen Memorial Scholarship valued at $4,000 and is restricted to UC Boulder
    • Rocky Mountain IOOF No. 2 offers five general scholarships valued at $2,500 each
    • Application, official transcript, and 3 letters of reference are required to be considered.

    SPAA- South Park Activities Association Scholarship

    • MUST BE RECEIVED BY APRIL 14th
    • Two $250 awards available
    • Applicant must possess a minimum of a 3.2 GPA, be pursuing a post high school education at a 2 or 4-year college, university, or vocational training institution, and have participated in two school related extracurricular activities each year of high school to be considered. (Information letter)

    Boys and Girls Club of the High Rockies  

    • DUE MARCH 30th
    • up to three scholarship awards in amounts of $500-$1000 each
    • Open to youth in 11th or 12th grade, reside in a community served by BGCHR, and who are current or past members of a BGCHR club.
    • Scholarship will be judged and awarded on the following: academic success, community involvement, commitment to a healthy lifestyle, and content and quality of written narratives.

    Park County Republican Central Committee-FAWKS HICKOK

    • VERBAL COMMITMENT  TO MRS. P BY MARCH 29TH, LETTERS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY APRIL 26TH
    • Awards in the amount of $500 
    • Letter of interest expressing their commitment to and belief in our Republican Party principals and interview required for consideration.

    Colorado County Clerks Association

    • MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE LAST FRIDAY IN MARCH
    • One-time awards of $1000 to graduating seniors in Colorado
    • Intended to assist outstanding seniors in Colorado in furthering their education at any university, college, junior college, or technical institution.
    • Application, minimum GPA of 3.25, community involvement with an interest in government, business or political science, financial need/hardship, copy of acceptance letter if applicable, resume, one-page autobiography including educational goals, short answer responses to questionnaire, and three letters of recommendation required for consideration.
