WINTER BUS SAFETY

Winter Bus Safety

This is a reminder that the real force of winter will soon be upon us.  While our buses are equipped with chains, it can still be slow going in snow storms.  It is important, therefore, that students and parents be careful around school buses and bus stops.  As is written in our School Bus Safety Rules, please pay attention to rule #6:

"Always be on time.  Arrive at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before stop time".

When weather is bad, a driver may be able to get a head start on this route.  Thus, students will be able to gt to school safely on time and not miss breakfast.  Also, it is important that all school rules apply when on the bus.  The drivers must concentrate on driving and not on student behavior.  This is especially true in winter storm conditions!
