HEALTH AND SAFETY UPDATES
Park County School District is working closely with our state and local health partner as we monitor the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
COVID-19
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that cause respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Similar to the flu, these viruses spread through coughing or sneezing. There is no vaccine for COVID-19.
The CDPHE is a great source for information about the virus, symptoms, and severity, how to protect yourself and your family. This website is regularly updated with new information and statistics.
As of 3/12/2020, there have been presumptive positive cases in Colorado. Click here for details

PARK COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT CLOSING
A Message from Superintendent Cindy Bear.
After conferring with Park County Health Department again this morning, I have decided we will indeed need to close the school next week (March 16-19, 2020). Of course, we have spring break the following week so that will allow two weeks to see, what our next steps should be. I do not anticipate this situation will be ver by then so please be prepared for anything.
Parents, you will receive an email sometime on Sunday, tomorrow, with more detailed instructions on how the school will address learning for next week. Our goal, of course, is for instruction to continue so valuable learning time is not completely lost That email will also lay out plans for how student meals can continue during the closure.
In the meantime, the district is utilizing outside professionals t help us clean and disinfect the entire facility so that we are prepared for the return of students.
Thank you for your patience and your continued flexibility.
