Representing PCSD-Re2 Stakeholders

Welcome to the Park County District Accountability Committee or DAC as it is commonly called.  This is a group of parents, teachers, community members, and the Superintendent who are committed to working together to better our school community.

The DAC helps to collect feedback from School Accountability Committees (which in Fairplay we call the PIT for our Parent Involvement Team) and then advises the Board of Education regarding spending priorities.

In Colorado, it is a statutory requirement for every school district to have a District Accountability Committee (DAC). The committee is made up of parents, teachers, PCSD staff, and community members and serves in an advisory capacity to the Park County School District Re-2 Board of Education.

The District Accountability Committee (DAC) meets monthly throughout the year and makes recommendations to the Board regarding spending District money,  improvement plans and parent engagement plans. The committee's members also make recommendations for areas and issues for study.

Everyone Is Welcome at DAC!

The District Accountability Committee (DAC) is a group of parents, caregivers, and community members who care about our schools — and we’d love for you to join us!

You don’t need to sign up, commit long-term, or be an expert in education policy. Just come when a topic on the agenda interests you! Each month, we’ll post our meeting agenda in advance on the district website and social media so you can decide which conversations you’d like to be part of.

This isn’t a school-run or district-run meeting. It’s community-driven, which means your perspective truly matters. Whether you have students in the district or simply care about our community’s schools, your voice is welcome.

Our only request? Come with curiosity and kindness. These meetings are a space to learn, share ideas, and collaborate — not to vent or place blame. Together, we can strengthen communication, understanding, and trust across our district.

We discuss a variety of important topics that impact our schools and community, including: Budget Calendars Community Engagement Principal Connection Unified Improvement Plan (UIP) Board of Education updates

All meetings are held in the Administrative Board Room. 640 Hathaway St, Fairplay, Co 80440
