Park County School District RE-2 is located in Fairplay, Colorado, and serves students from Fairplay and the surrounding communities of Alma, Como, Jefferson, Hartsel, Guffey, and Lake George.

The Fairplay campus includes Edith Teter Preschool, Edith Teter Elementary, South Park Middle School, and South Park High School, “Home of the Mighty Burros,” serving approximately 500 students from preschool through 12th grade. Our schools provide a comprehensive educational experience supported by a variety of extracurricular and co-curricular opportunities. School hours are Monday–Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

The district also authorizes two charter schools: Guffey Community Charter School and Lake George Charter School, both of which operate under their own governing boards.
