The safety and security of our students, staff, and visitors is one of our highest priorities.
As part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening school safety and emergency preparedness, We want to share that Park County School District RE-2 has implemented the Raptor Emergency System, including Raptor Badge Alert, across the district.
Raptor Badge Alert is a wearable safety tool that gives staff a simple and immediate way to request assistance when a safety or emergency situation occurs. When activated, the system quickly communicates an alert to designated school administrators and, when appropriate, can help connect the school with emergency responders. This technology is designed to support a fast, coordinated response when every second matters.
The Raptor Emergency System provides our staff with an additional resource to communicate concerns and quickly summon assistance in a variety of situations. This may include medical emergencies, security concerns, or other circumstances where immediate support is needed. By giving staff an easy and reliable way to communicate an urgent need, the system strengthens our ability to respond quickly and effectively.
The implementation of the Raptor Emergency System is one part of our broader approach to school safety and emergency preparedness. Along with our safety procedures, training, emergency drills, communication systems, and partnerships with local law enforcement and emergency responders, this technology provides another important layer of support for our schools.
Our goal is to provide our staff with the tools, training, and procedures necessary to maintain a safe and secure learning environment while minimizing disruption to the educational experience. While we hope the system is rarely needed, having this resource available helps ensure that our staff are better prepared to respond when unexpected situations arise.
Student and staff safety remains our highest priority. We are grateful for the continued partnership and support of our families and community as we work together to keep our schools safe, secure, and prepared.
